For the elegant lady baby
Former Spice Girl Mel B has cast her child in the baby version of Dangerous Liaisons. Some nursery appointments include: silk crib bedding, hand-painted murals and chandeliers in place of mobiles, and a crib that looks about the size of a grown-up’s bed.
For the baby who prefers form over function
Wrought iron cribs. Crystal chandeliers. Dramatic canopy drapes. Fur wraps. Jennifer Lopez’s twins are fancy. Really fancy. But the bloggers at Parent’s magazine aren’t in support of their chi-chi lifestyle. “We want those sweet twins to stay out of harm’s way, so we’re begging you…please babyproof! Take the pillows, stuffed animals, and blankets out of the cribs. They’re suffocation hazards. Get rid of the dramatic draped canopies hanging over the cribs, which can cause strangulation. Those cute bows tied onto the crib slats? Choking hazards as soon as the babies are big enough to get their hands on them.”
For the baby whose beds will all be disappointing after this one
In Mariah Carey’s $1 million dollar nursery suite, there lies a giant chariot-shaped crib and just beyond that a chariot-shaped bed for when the baby’s bars are a distant memory. This is just a soap sliver or Mariah’s twins’ residence. There’s also a boy’s play area and wing for adults.
For the baby who likes a clean hotel room after a night of clubbing
Those would be Ricky Martin’s twins. This black and white, animal print room is where the ’90s music legend’s spawn feel most relaxed and baby-ful. They’re already more mature than I am.
For the baby who’s not afraid of oversize props with angry human faces
I’m not sure why Christina Aguilera had a moon with a bad taste in its mouth as a set decoration for her Back to Basics tour, but it makes even less sense in her son Max’s nursery. I’ll bet this moon gets a lot of airtime in a therapist’s office in 20 years.
For the grandbaby spoiled by her “Dr. Grandpa”
Dr. Phil and his wife built this plush pink space for their first grandkid, Avery Elizabeth. It comes fully decked-out with gilded touches, a cushy window seat, crystal lamps, and a walk-in closet. Not bad for a home away from home!
