The groups new album, Adventures In Your Own Backyard, is set for release on April 17th in Canada and May 1st in the U.S. from Domino/Secret City records.

But as of Thursday, Reese is already sporting a whole new look. The 35-year-old actress arrived at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport on Thursday sporting piecey bangs skimming the tops of her black Ray-Bans.

The look is cute — we already knew Reese can rock bangs with the best of them, from the memorable moment she debuted her bold post-split look at the 2007 Golden Globes (remember that yellow Nina Ricci dress?). The bangs were a welcome change back then. But these days we’ve been loving Reese’s low-maintenance ‘do.

The ubiquitous bra and panty retailer is launching The Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection, reports Women’s Wear Daily, to compete with more upscale brands.

The tagline on the Victoria’s Secret website reads, “It’s lingerie only Victoria’s Secret could create,” hinting at the store’s decision to stop selling other high-end lingerie lines like Chantelle Thomas in favor of creating its own.

Unbeknownst to most fans, the new Designer Collection was hiding right under our noses: several of the bras and underwear were featured in November’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show (see pics below). But the pieces, which range in price from $38 for thongs to $298 for corsets, are now available online and in select stores, including two NYC locations.

The pricey underthings are heavy on the sheer and lace, as is to be expected — this is no Victoria’s Secret PINK. Browse through pics of the new Designer Line and tell us: would you cough up extra bucks for extra-fancy VS bras?

Gaultier intended the collection as a wholly literal take, telling Women’s Wear Daily, “I think Amy Winehouse was truly a fashion icon” whose style has failed to be honored by magazines since her July 2011 death.

But Winehouse’s family did not appreciate the sentiment. The Sun reports today that Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, expressed displeasure at Gaultier’s unauthorized use of his daughter’s image and memory.

“The family was upset to see those pictures, they were a total shock,” said Mitch, according to the Sun. With the family marking the six-month anniversary of Amy’s tragic passing just this week, Mitch noted, “to see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on.”

Her father also added:

We’re proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste.”

Attendees of the show were perceptive enough to suspect the same. Women’s Wear Daily pointed out that the show “felt at best ill-advised: a young woman who died tragically less than a year ago the fodder for an oh-so-feisty fashion show.”

Some of Amy’s friends agreed. Kelly Osbourne tweeted, “Although @JPGaultier was paying homage to my dear friend & icon to the world i found it to be lucratively selfish and distasteful!”

Surely Gaultier did not intend any offense. But one would think that with such sensitive material, the designer would have consulted the family. But when asked backstage, Gaultier admitted that he had never even met Amy but simply thought that their “styles had always been similar,” according to AP.

It’s all a bit confusing, but seems to have gotten off the ground regardless. The NBC series had a flashy New York premiere on Thursday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, filling a red carpet with stars.

The woman of the night was “American Idol” alum Katharine McPhee, who stars in the TV show. Although she looks excellent in previews, she nearly flubbed her carpet appearance last night with an ill-fitting outfit.

McPhee wore a flouncy dress from Donna Karan’s pre-fall collection featuring a satin white top, a black skirt and a contrasting navy bow at the waist. While Katharine looked lovely, the mid-calf length was unflattering and the loose v-neck top seemed close to slipping off. The whole ensemble looked a size or two too big.

For a major star moment, we were perplexed that McPhee chose such an underwhelming dress. What do you think of her choice?

The Headwear Association — an organization founded in 1908 that “promotes hat wearing and the headwear industry throughout the world” — highlighted some of Kate’s best hats, including the velvet cabernet hat she wore on Christmas (left) and the memorable maple leaf headpiece by Sylvia Fletcher at Lock and Co. that she selected for Canada Day in July (center).

Kate is the third star to win top honors from The Headwear Association; Johnny Depp nabbed last year’s title, following in the footsteps (er, headprint?) of the organization’s first-ever winner, Brad Pitt. Tell us: Are you a fan of Kate’s hats?

“I am aware that I am not a seasoned director and that the world is waiting to see my film and they are not going to blow any smoke up my behind,” Madonna told me when I sat down with her for my HDNet talk show “Naughty But Nice With Rob.” “But on the other hand, I am very proud of the work I have done and I stand by it and I am sure that it will find its audience.”

The film focuses on the controversial relationship between Wallis Simpson, a twice-divorced American woman, and King Edward VIII, who abdicated his throne to marry her — a subject that Madonna wanted to explore from Wallis’ point of view.

“I think that people didn’t really understand Wallis Simpson, and I think that everyone conveniently blamed it on her,” Madonna said. “I felt that it was a story to tell on many levels. One, to examine the idea that there is no such thing as a perfect love and two, to explore the idea that nothing is as it seems and if you really want to know somebody or understand a situation, you are going to have to be willing to put in the time and the research. Just like it takes time to get to know a person, right?”

So would Madonna be willing to give up her throne for love? “I would find a way to have it all,” she said, without missing a beat.

According to the deal, law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Amber can stay out of the big house …  provided she completes a court-mandated drug rehabilitation program.

As part of the deal, Amber pled guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of probation violation.

The entire case will be dismissed if Portwood successfully graduates from the Madison County Drug Court program — but we’re told, if she screws up …  she’ll be tossed in the pokey immediately, no questions asked.

A hearing is set for February 6th — when the judge will decide whether to approve the deal.
